Simply loved the romance and the personalities of both main characters. Great writing and an excellent delivery of emotions.
Extended Review
This book took me about 10 days to read because, around that time, I was caught up in some romance myself. Otherwise, I think I could have finished it in just two days.
Let’s get into it:
Alex Volkov is Ava’s brother’s best friend—and a full-on grumpy big man. This is exactly why I love the story. I enjoy seeing their contrasting personalities play out in the alternating POV chapters. I’ve always loved discovering that the love interest is slowly falling in love with the main character while she (or he) remains oblivious, thinking they hate them.
This book is a classic depiction of the tropes mentioned above, and I am here for it.
That’s why this review stays short and sweet—I really don’t have much more to say. I enjoyed reading it, I’m looking forward to the next books in this series, and therefore:
